Physical/Motor Development – Exercises for sitting up

The baby now is mainly lying on his back and he will use his arms to support his upper body when he is lying on his back. Don’t underestimate the baby’s hands and feet, it can be very powerful! When you put your finger in his hand, he will hold it tightly. Mom and Dad can help the little guy do some physical exercises as it will make their body development be better!

 Single limb remote control

  1. Let the baby lie on his back and hang a big flower ball with a bell in a place where the baby can see it.
  2. Pull the rope, one on the ball and one on the baby’s wrist.
  3. Dad \ Mom holding the baby’s left hand to shake will cause the bell on the big flower ball to ring.
  4. Dad \ Mom let the baby play by himself, and the baby will dance his limbs and even shake his body to make the bell ring.
  5. Once the baby finds that swinging the bell in the left arm will ring, the father \ mother will change the position and tie it with the baby, and then tie it to the left and right ankles in turn.

From seeing and hearing, to controlling the whole body, the baby can exercise the brain to specifically instruct the choice of physical activity, which is very useful for your baby’s intellectual development.

 Kick the ball

Lie your baby on his back, and guide him to kick the coloured balls hanging from above or blow a big plastic bag filled with small bells. The baby is excited when he sees the ball beating, or when he hears the sound, he pushes his legs hard, bends and stretches his knees, lifts his upper leg or moves with the ball.

This game can train your baby’s legs and exercise his lower limb muscles. Sometimes the baby’s hands and feet can touch the ball at the same time, and the movement of the lower limbs is extended to the movements of the limbs and the whole body, which can promote muscle development and metabolism.
