Myth 3: Blindly choose of nutritional products during pregnancy

Precautions for nutritional supplements during pregnancy

  1. Do not over consume folic acid

Folic acid overdose, the pregnant mothers may experience symptoms such as nausea, bloating, and loss of appetite. . Therefore, the daily dosage of folic acid supplementation for pregnant mothers should be controlled at 0.4 mg, and others can be supplemented through food.

  1. Nutritional intake should not be too late

Malnutrition during pregnancy can also affect fetal development, with low birth weight, premature babies and children under gestational age, impaired brain development or congenital malformations, and increased perinatal neonatal mortality. 

  1. Diet should not be too fine

Pregnant mothers should pay attention not to eat refined foods such as polished rice and noodles. They should also eat more coarse grains and properly adjust the diet structure to ensure balanced nutrition and avoid the lack of nutrients during pregnancy.
