Mom and Dad should avoid using the word ‘No’！
Surveys have shown that Asian parents say “no” to their babies more often as compared to parents around the world. Mom and dad long to cultivate the spirit of adventure and exploration in their babies. However, a single ‘no’ may overwhelm and cut off your baby’s interest. Rejection can hinder your baby’s qualities to blossom more than anything else. If you want to teach or forbid whatever your baby is doing, the best way is to lead him in a positive way. You may use positive reinforcements instead of negative reinforcements.
Try to let your baby move freely
The baby has learned how to crawl and will soon learn how to stand and walk. You will find that the baby is very curious about everything. He can pick up anything that can be obtained by hand, twist it or tear it or even put it into his mouth. He will pull out the napkins one by one from the tissue box, tear your books and crumple your documents. By removing important and valuable items out of his way, your child can roam freely without the fear of destroying your valuables.
Mom and Dad should encourage the baby to explore; he will touch various things and try new things. This process helps the baby to learn and promote his memory development.
