Build Together

Building block games involve the use of small, interlocking pieces that can be assembled and disassembled to create a variety of structures and designs. a fun and engaging way to learn and can help to improve children’s fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and spatial reasoning. And the most popular example is LEGO.

LEGO is a popular building toy that is used by children of all ages. Playing with LEGOs allows children to build and create their own structures, encouraging them to use their imagination and explore different possibilities.

Overall, building block games offer many educational and social benefits and can be a valuable addition to a child’s playtime. The possibilities for what can be built with Lego are truly endless, limited only by one’s imagination and creativity.

So, Mama Net recently ran a campaign titled Build Together to allow kids to explore their imagination and creativity by building animals using Lego blocks. The week-long campaign was held from 14 – 20 January 2023.

We had an overwhelming response from our little followers showing off their creativity and imagination through building blocks. We even had kids sending in more than one block animal.

As the campaign was in conjunction with Chinese New Year, bunny was the most built animal. However we also got entries with duck, fox, jellyfish, and many more. Not to forget, the creative ninja blaster flying dragon.

Mama Net team had a tough time choosing the winners as all of them were pretty and filled with creativity. Based on criterias such as complexity, creativity and best looking animal brick, we managed to select 2 winners, finally.

The winners

The first winner is @cheesengsoo, the boy who built a dinosaur using LEGO bricks. His unique approach to storytelling was incorporated with a small plush dinosaur, a dinosaur costume, and his own LEGO creation.

He was able to bring his creation to life in a creative and engaging way. His use of multiple elements in his presentation helped to make his dinosaur come alive in the minds of the judges, making him stand out among the competition.

@sayasha88 is the second winner, the girl who built three animals using LEGO Duplo. Her creation symbolised simplicity and creativity. She was able to create three distinct and recognizable animals, a jellyfish, turtle, and cow, using only the basic building blocks of LEGO Duplo.

Her builds were simple yet cleverly designed, showcasing her ability to think creatively and make the most out of the materials she had. Her skillful use of colour and shape helped to bring her creations to life, enhancing the distinctiveness from other competitors.

And both the winners will be getting a LEGO Lunar New Year Parade and a LEGO DUPLO – Learn About Chinese Culture set respectively.
