A game that stimulates your baby’s hearing

Your baby’s hearing is closely related to language development. The following mini-games can stimulate your baby’s hearing to improve your baby’s hearing ability.

1.   Calling out to your baby

Call out to your baby in front of the crib. When the baby is familiar with the mother’s voice, the dad or other family members can take turns calling out to your child to improve the baby’s hearing ability.

2. Find ringtones

Use a rattle to gently shake near one side of your child’s head. After the baby hears the sound, he/she will turn his/her head to look for the source of the sound. Next, shake the rattle on the other side of your child, and repeat the process.

2.   Hanging toys

Hanging sound-producing toys can stimulate the baby’s hearing cells and promote hearing development. You can change the position of the toy regularly.

3.   Read storybooks

Although the baby can’t understand the content of the story, he/she likes to hear you reading out loud. Studies have shown that if babies are able to listen and read more when they are infants, they can master more vocabulary when they grow up.

Remarks:

If the baby does not respond to sounds and noises at all, take the baby to the hospital for examination and diagnosis
